Greetings.  This is Dan White with Homeschool News & Views, issue 19, for April 27, 2007.

The shootings at Virginia Tech last week drowned out an event which usually receives positive media coverage.  That is the homosexual promotion event called the Day of Silence.  Because of the killings in Blacksburg, Virginia, most of the media was silent about the Day of Silence.

Nevertheless it was said that hundreds of thousands of secondary and college students from a record number of schools participated in the National Day of Silence on Wednesday, April 18.  It is also said that the 11th annual National Day of Silence is one of the largest student led days of action in the country.  Apparently students at nearly 5,000 middle and high schools registered with the web site promoting this event, indicating they would participate by taking a vow of silence, wearing stickers or T-shirts and passing out speaking cards explaining their decision not to speak.

Again  -- students at about 5,000 schools agreed to do this homosexual promotion.  Was your local school on the list?  If not, it will be.

This promotion is sponsored by GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.  They claim to be trying to protect homosexual and lesbian students from harassment and discrimination.

Judges all over the country are continually handing down decisions that government schools must allow GSA clubs, or Gay Straight Alliance Clubs, in their schools.  We have mentioned before how a school in Missouri tried to keep out such a club, but then capitulated because of the court position.  Also we mentioned how the school board in Ashland, Kentucky tried to keep out a GSA Club.  A judge which President Bush appointed not only ordered them to have such a club, but ordered that all their teachers and students be indoctrinated into the beliefs of the club, and no one could opt out.  Parents had no choice in the matter.

So these GSA Clubs led about 5,000 schools in the Day of Silence to promote homosexuality.  What difference does that make?

Think about this.

When I went to high school, a public school in West Virginia, I was in Science Club.  The club met during lunch hour and we talked about science:  science classes, science projects, science stuff.

The school also had a Key Club, which was a service club like the Kiwanis or Lions.  Again it normally met at lunch hour, and the discussion was on what the club could do as service projects.

We also had a National Honor Society, for students who maintained a certain grade level.  We met during lunch hour, and I don’t really remember what we talked about in the National Honor Society meetings.  That was just kind of a look good on your transcript type activity, so I guess we just ate our lunch and tried to look honorable.

You can see that during those club meetings, we ate a lot and we talked about whatever was the purpose of the club.

Now here is the question –

What does a homosexual club do?

If a science club talks about science, and if a service club talks about service projects, what does a homosexual club talk about in their meetings during lunch hour at school?  Picture such a meeting, if you will.  Young, should be innocent teenagers, boys and girls, 14 to 17 years old, getting together in a Gay Straight Alliance Club to discuss what?  

When the club gets together for an after school activity, what do they do?  A Science Club gets involved in science fairs.  The Key Club gets involved in after school projects to serve.  When a GSA Club gets together for an after school activity, with the purpose of the club being homosexuality, exactly what do they do?

To repeat, the National Day of Silence and the Gay Straight Alliance Clubs are sponsored by the GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.  What is the GLSEN like?

In April, 2005, GLSEN held a Gay Lesbian Straight Education conference for the state of Massachusetts in Brookline High School in the greater Boston area.  Of course, the natural reason for GLSEN holding this conference was to promote homosexuality.  The organizers of the conference said that over 500 people attended.  Some who attended said that over three quarters of those 500 were school kids.

One thing is immediately striking about all this homosexual promotion.  In the judge controlled government schools of America, it is legal to try to convince people to be Sodomites, but it is not legal to try to convince people to be Christians.  Homosexuality can be promoted, with a National Day of Silence where students pass out cards.  Christ can not be promoted.

At the Gay Lesbian conference, held in a public school for public school kids, when these kids entered the hall, the first thing they saw was a registration table.  Why would they need to register?  Possibly to get some follow up information from the GLSEN, or possibly to be contacted regarding future GLSEN events, whatever that might mean.

On the very next table after the registration table -- prominently displayed – were numerous copies of a booklet.  This booklet was written by the Boston-based "AIDS Action Committee" with help from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Boston Public Health Commission.  The booklet was called The Little Black Book.  Milt Romney, governor of Massachusetts and now presidential candidate, later said this booklet was not state funded.  However, apparently those three agencies which helped produce the booklet all receive state funds.

The cover of the booklet which basically all the attendees saw said “Little Black Book, Queer in the 21st Century”.  Then inside it said, “Hey, Queer boys!  Welcome to queer life in the 21st century!  Is this a great time to be gay or what?”

The booklet listed eight types of sexual activity.  The descriptions of these activities were in the most debased, restroom wall type language.  Two of the activities encouraged there are anus licking and playing in urine while someone urinates on you. These activities are described with different terms than I just used.

A couple of other quotes from the booklet, which are supposed to encourage condom use:  “Condoms are still the most reliable protection against STDs a gay boy can have (next to abstinence, but how much fun is that?).” And “The next best thing to having sex with another guy (or guys) is remembering it.  When those memories are jumbled up with fear and guilt about not using condoms, it’s a real drag.”  Then the booklet shows nude males with instructions about condom use.

Finally the booklet lists a number of homosexual bars and clubs around Boston, with details about each one, where these young public school kids can engage in some extracurricular activity.

So the very first display that the school kids at this GSLEN conference saw was the Little Black Book, with its comments on anus licking and urine showers and six other such activities.

Some people who oppose sodomy also attended that conference.  A group called Article 8 Alliance issued a press release telling about the Little Black Book.  When the local news media picked up the story, what did GLSEN do?

They denied it.

We have to remember that people who do not follow an absolute moral code have absolutely no hesitation about lying.  Liberals lie.

“I did not have sex with that woman!”  Bill Clinton said.

And GLSEN said that they had not placed those manuals on man to man sex at the GLSEN conference for school kids.  They said that either Article 8 Alliance was lying, or that if the manuals were at the conference, then A8A had planted them there themselves.

That’s similar to Hilary talking about the vast right wing conspiracy which was after her poor innocent husband.

Then GLSEN admitted that their people had placed the booklets at the conference, but they said it was only a very few booklets at most.  However, witnesses said they saw a big pile of booklets there, hundreds of them.

Finally, GLSEN apologized.  “We are deeply sorry that this happened, and we will do our best to ensure that it never happens again.”

I remember that I was living in Arkansas years ago.  Bill Clinton was the governor of the state.  He raised some taxes, as liberals always do, and at the next election the voters turned him out.  What did he do?  He apologized, said he had made a mistake, and at the next election the Arkansas voters put him right back in again.  And every time Clinton got into some big mess, as with Jennifer Flowers or Monica Lewinsky, he would apologize, and that would make it all right with most people.  That’s how he got to be president, and that’s how he governed.  One of the very first acts of President Bill Clinton was to have the homosexuals in the White House, on national and international TV, sodomy accepted in America.  The United States of America made a turn there and has never been the same since.

Now Hilary is talking sweet to the Christians.  These two are America’s version of Ahab and Jezebel – Billhab and Hilabel.

The liberal approach is to do whatever they can get away with.  When they cause an uproar, first they deny.  Then they soften the charge.  Bill Clinton said that he did smoke marijuana, but he didn’t inhale.  After these options are exhausted, if there is still an uproar, then they apologize profusely and emotionally.  After the uproar dies down, they go back to doing the same thing which caused the uproar in the first place.

GSA Clubs are coming to all public schools in America, and are already in many.  If a science club does science, and a service club does service, what does a GSA homosexual club do?   They do what's in the Little Black Book.

These are young kids, who should be saving themselves for marriage, instead of wrecking themselves emotionally and picking up the diseases of Sodom.  What’s happening here is unspeakably terrible.

Recently, a homeschool mom we know was driving a van load of teens to a church activity.  She heard a couple of public school boys in the back talking about the homosexuals, lesbians and bisexuals in their school.  These boys were 14 and 15 years old.  Their school is a small, rural public school, 224 in 5-8th grades and 213 in 9-12th grades, in a small town in the middle of very conservative Missouri.  The state of Missouri has two big cities, St. Louis and Kansas City, which are ultra-liberal.  The rest of the state is as conservative as any area in America.  In the politics of our county, Democrats often don’t even run -- unless they’re chased.

What struck this homeschool mom was the completely casual, nothing out of the ordinary manner in which these boys were talking about homosexual activity in their schools. These youngsters, raised in Christian families, taken to church regularly, but sent to public school, already accepted homosexual activity as being normal – among 14 and 15 year olds!  Once they accept that behavior as being normal, they will never really oppose it, and America will become like Sodom.  And that’s in the coming generation, produced by your government controlled public schools.

We often hear it said that we need to put prayer back in the government schools.  What would they do?  Open the GSA meetings with prayer?  Would they do like the Virginia Tech convocation for the dead, and have Allah first, then Buddha, and then Christ?

America needs to put prayer back into its homes.  America needs to put its children back into their families.  Don’t reclaim the government schools.  Reclaim your children.  A government should never educate its own citizens.   America’s Christians need to stand up for Christ, and walk out of Sodom’s schools.
