The Homosexual Movement, the ACLU and the Public Schools

Greetings. This is Dan White with issue 15 of Homeschool News & Views.

There are two strong minority movements in America, the homosexual movement and the homeschool movement. Both these movements are religious, in that they go to the very core of what people believe is right and wrong.

Homosexuals believe that any type of sexual activity is right. They believe it is morally wrong to forbid anyone from doing anything sexual.

The homeschool movement is 90% Christian. They believe that homosexuality breaks God’s commandments in the Bible. They believe that sexual relations belong only inside a marriage of a man and woman.

Both these movements are growing. Both cannot coexist. One must succeed and one must cease.

The homosexual movement has the Democratic Party in its control. That political party and its leaders have embraced sodomy as a civil rights cause. That means they have to oppose the teachings of the Bible. If it is good to practice homosexuality, then it cannot be good to condemn homosexuality as the Bible does.

The homosexual movement has the major media in its pulpit. TV schedules are full of homosexual promotion. Movies are now beginning the same evangelistic campaign. The movie Brokeback Mountain was a blatant promotion of sodomy. Predictably it was given many film awards. It was seen by millions of people and was commercially profitable.

The homosexual movement also has the public schools in its arsenal.

The book Sexual Orientation and School Policy by Dr. Ian K. Macgillivray says that public schools are to be used by the pro-homosexual, anti-Christian liberals "to outwit or educate the opposition", and to overthrow a conservative Christian value system that he considers "outdated" and "morally invalid."

They are doing just that.

Many states have voted to ban what is called gay marriage. But liberals consistently use the courts to overturn the will of the people. The most pronounced area of this judicial kingship is in the government schools. America did not want God thrown out of the public schools. The judges decreed it and it was so. That’s the way it is. America has accepted that. Now the liberals and their judges are on a judicial campaign to use the public schools to force sodomy into the minds of America’s children. Will America accept that?

Many lower court cases would not stand if appealed all the way to the Supreme Court. However, most people will not even challenge a public school policy in the courts. For those few who do, almost none will appeal a bad decision all the way to the Supreme Court. Furthermore, for whatever reason, the Supreme Court is now ruling on fewer and fewer cases. They presently hear only about half the number of cases they did a quarter century ago.

That means the radical decisions of ultra-liberal lower court judges stand as law, because they never get overturned.

What happened in Boyd County, Kentucky is an indelible lesson for all Christians.

In Boyd County, Kentucky the county Board of Education did not want to allow a GSA Club in their high schools. That is the area of Ashland, Kentucky, right across the Ohio River from Huntington, West Virginia. A GSA Club is a Gay-Straight Alliance Club. They are sponsored by the GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian Straight Educational Network. The educational network part of their name means they are aiming to educate the kids in the public schools with their beliefs and practices.

When Boyd County did not allow a GSA Club, the ACLU sued. We take the initials ACLU to mean Anti-Christian Liberals United. No organization has been more active in turning America from an outwardly Christian free nation into an anti-Christian socialist, government oppressed nation. The ACLU is funded by liberals and has an enormous staff of lawyers who spend all of their lives fighting Christian beliefs. They maintain that they are for freedom and fighting against government control of people’s lives. In fact, they do just the opposite, as illustrated by this example of extreme government intrusion into the religious beliefs of Kentucky hill folks.

Boyd County agreed to settle with the ACLU. In America’s legal system today, often the party with the most money wins. They can keep appealing each decision until the other party runs out of money for legal fees. The ACLU has a nearly endless supply of money and liberal lawyers. All public school systems in the country realize this. In that sense, the ACLU controls them all.

When Boyd County agreed to settle, the judge, who was appointed by George W. Bush, then enforced a monstrous decree against that county’s schools. Here are excerpts from that decree, in italics.

“The parties wish to avoid further costly and protracted litigation and have agreed voluntarily… to resolve Plaintiffs' claims against Defendants without the necessity of a trial by entering into this Consent Order.”

They gave in because of the cost of fighting the ACLU’s lawyers.

“Therefore, it is ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED as follows:”

Back in the old days the world had kings, who could drastically affect people’s lives with just the stroke of a pen, as in the book of Esther. Now in America we have judges who do that.

The schools have to “provide the GSA with equal access and opportunity to meet… and refrain from discriminating against the GSA.”

That may sound good at first – to refrain from discrimination -- but remember what we are talking about here. We are talking about the practice of sodomy by the youth of America. Sodomy is about as perverted as God allows a people to be before inflicting great curses on them. We point to the examples in the Bible of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the whole valley around the Dead Sea was originally well watered and green, but was blasted with fire and brimstone desolation and remains desolate to this day. There was also the example of Benjamin, where one of the tribes of Israel was nearly exterminated, except for 600 men and no women, because they had become perverse Sodomites. God discriminates against homosexuals. He also destroys them, as He is doing with those who practice such today. They only have about half the life span of someone who does not practice such commandment breaking.

The judge ordered that the school would “refrain from requiring parental permission or notification to participate in student meetings on school premises… If a parent objects to a student's participation in a particular student activity…The school district shall neither encourage nor discourage a student from participating in the GSA based on parental 'opposition.”

A parent cannot tell the school that he doesn’t want his kid in the GSA.

“Defendants shall conduct one full-day training session for all classified, certified, and district staff in the Boyd County Middle school and High School.

“Each Staff Training shall consist of a full day of training on diversity, discrimination and harassment and shall include a significant focus on issues pertaining to sexual orientation and gender identity diversity, harassment and discrimination.”

“Defendants shall retain the Anti-Defamation League (the "ADL") to prepare and to implement all aspects of the First and Second Staff Trainings. ”

Now that’s interesting, isn’t it? All of these Christians are ordered to be trained in sodomy by one of the most anti-Christian organizations in existence.

“Defendants will' cooperate with the ADL in designing and implementing the Mandatory Staff Training Program and will defer to the ADL's expertise if there are disagreements about how to conduct the Mandatory Staff Training Program.”

No doubt about who is in charge there, is there? The parents are not in charge. The school board elected by the voters is not in charge. The Anti-Defamation League, funded by the most liberal, licentious elements of the society is in charge. Boyd County didn’t even have a chapter of the ADL, and most people there didn’t even know what ADL stood for, yet now the ADL is running their schools.

“Defendants shall provide a one-hour age-appropriate training session for all students in Boyd County middle and high schools on the subject of preventing harassment and discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.”

“Defendants shall retain the ADL to design the Mandatory Student Training program in cooperation with Defendants. Defendants may use Compliance Coordinators to teach the Mandatory Student Training sessions provided those Compliance Coordinators have been trained in advance by the ADL.”

Of course, harassment is any statement of belief that homosexuality is wrong. So we see that the ACLU, which sets itself out as a guardian of liberty, winds up restricting the most basic rights of speech and religion in America. No student in these schools can say that the Bible teaches that sodomy is sin. No teacher in these schools can teach that the Bible says that sodomy is sin. All teachers and all students in these schools have to accept, or appear to accept, the teaching that homosexuality is good, and therefore that the Bible is wrong, and therefore that the God of the Bible is a liar, and therefore that Jesus Christ, Y’shua the Messiah is not the Savior of sinful mankind.

James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, raised as a Christian homeschooler, would not be able to come to these schools and give one of his historical speeches. Isn’t that absurd? Of course, James Madison, the father of the Constitution, which prohibited government control of churches and government control of the press, did not envision government control of the schools.

“[T]he Site Based Decision Making Councils shall promptly thereafter fill the position for two individuals from administrators, faculty, or staff (one male and one female) to serve as "Compliance Coordinators" for the Boyd County Middle School and BCHS. Compliance Coordinators will be individuals who are identified as resources for students who feel that they may have suffered harassment or discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and who are responsible for oversight of recording, reporting, investigating and remedying all forms of harassment or discrimination, including harassment or discrimination based on actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.”

These Compliance Coordinators are thought police.

The website of Boyd County public schools says that, “In accordance with recent litigation settlement, Boyd County Public Schools has employed Compliance Coordinators at Boyd County High School and Boyd County Middle School. Their job role is to ensure that complaints of harassment and discrimination, as defined by Board policy and all Codes and Handbooks, are promptly and effectively documented, investigated, and resolved.”

Their website further says that their curriculum will have an “Emphasis on morals, ethical standards, and proactive with discipline.” So the school says they have an emphasis on morals. What morals will the judge allow them to teach? Only the morals of the liberals, which are totally anti-Christian, not allowing the Bible, not allowing prayer to the God of the prayer, and not allowing anyone, teachers or students to disagree with homosexuality.

“Emphasis on morals, ethical standards, and proactive with discipline.” “Proactive” means that their thought police will actively seek out any students who are or are thought to be in disagreement with the homosexual practice. “With discipline” means they are going to get ‘em.

When this happened several years ago, about half of the high school’s students did not go to school. For one day. Plus about 2000 people got together for a protest meeting. Of course, the judge, the ACLU and the ADL were not there.

Some parents even sued the school, demanding that their children be allowed to get out of the homosexual training. The judge, however, ruled that all students and faculty must undergo the mandatory sensitivity training in order to make the schools safe for homosexual kids.

“Students have no religious or free-speech rights to opt-out of school training aimed at stopping anti-gay harassment in Boyd County schools,” the judge said.

No kids in the public schools there could get out of the homo promo training.

Then what happened?

Most everybody went along with letting the ACLU run their lives. People have jobs to do, bills to pay, ball games to watch. This all happened several years ago, and everything seems pretty much back to normal. The high school is still there, educating almost all of the children in Boyd County. Except now they educate them in the morals of the ACLU.

Furthermore, all around the country school districts know what happened in Boyd County, and will adjust their actions accordingly.

To sum up, Boyd County schools originally would not allow the promotion of homosexuality in their schools, by not allowing a GSA Club. They were trying to do what is right, to oppose this great evil. Now the schools -- middle school and high school -- teach homosexual acceptance to all the teachers and all the students, they have thought police to enforce it, and they now consider it their mission to teach these morals.

You see, Christians, that government system does not work for you.

Do you see, Christians, that system of government control of the minds of its young people should never exist in the first place? Just like government control of churches and media, government control of education inevitably leads to greater government control of the people. And when the judge says that students do not have freedom of speech or freedom of religion, that is great government control. If this is not stopped, the liberals will take away freedom of speech and freedom of religion from all parts of American life.

What we are seeing is not government of the people, for the people, and by the people. This is government of the liberal judges, by the liberal judges, and for the liberals. If America is to retain any type of freedom of speech and freedom of religion, we must be freed from this whole system of government education. More than any other single area, the public schools are the base of the liberals power. That means that the tax supported monopoly must end. That will not happen quickly, if ever. Right now it means that if you are a Christian parent, you must get your children out of the government public schools immediately, for the sake of your children, your family, your religion and your nation. As long as you don’t do that, you are helping the homos.

Now the schools, middle school and high school, teach homosexual acceptance to all the teachers, all the students, they have thought police to enforce it, and they now consider it their mission to teach these morals.

What’s the biggest problem here?

Is it the ACLU, which continually brings such actions?

Is it the judge, who in his wisdom has become what the Bible calls a fool?

No, it’s not those. The biggest problem is all those Christians who kept their kids home from school for one day, who gathered together for a protest, and then accepted the ACLU as their lord and master. They didn’t really like what happened, but ultimately all that mattered was that they accepted it.

Most of Adolf Hitler’s soldiers did not really like fighting for the Fuhrer, but they did it, anyway. Ultimately it did not really matter if they liked it or not. All that mattered was that they did it.

The greatest political danger for any people is oppression by its own government. That’s why the US government was divided into three separate branches, to avoid oppression by that government. A government should never be allowed to run the churches, run the media, or run the schools. A government which is allowed to educate its own citizens will always educate them in the image of that government.

Government schools should never exist, any more than government churches or government newspapers. The liberal judiciary controls the government schools and they are being used to teach liberalism. First that was evolution. Then it was putting God, the Bible and the Ten Commandments out of the schools. Now it is forcing homosexuality into the schools. The public schools are part of the homosexual movement.

Those people in Boyd County should not have kept their kids home from school for one day. They should have kept them away from the government schools forever. All Christians in Boyd County should just get out of the ACLU’s schools right now. If you don’t like the ACLU running the public schools, that’s what you should do. And the same for all the other counties in the US.

There are two strong minority movements in America: the homeschool movement, which is 90% Christian; and the homosexual movement, which controls the public schools. The Christians in Boyd County should not go along with the homosexual movement. They should get into the homeschool movement. One spends time learning about sodomy. The other spends time learning about the Savior. Which is better?

What happened in Boyd County is an indelible lesson for all Christians. Those judicial decrees stand as precedents for your local schools. Christians all across the country face the same quandary as those in Boyd County. The public schools are part of the homosexual movement. The ACLU rules there. Do you want to be a part of that? People who actively support evil and people who do not stand up against evil ultimately are on the same side.
